As part of our British Council supported project on digital accessibility and inclusive practice in higher education, I joined a stakeholder session hosted by NUST Business School in Pakistan, focused on inclusive education and digital accessibility.

The funded project is led by Dr Seemab Farooqi as Principal Investigator, and she shared perspectives from the University of Dundee during the discussion. I valued being part of the conversation as Co-Investigator, alongside colleagues from higher education, disability organisations, industry, and policy contexts.

What stayed with me was the quality of the exchange. People spoke candidly, listened carefully, and built on one another’s points. Experiences around digital learning, assessment, and support were shared openly, not to assign blame, but to understand where progress is happening and where further work is needed.

NUST Business School created the conditions for that kind of dialogue. Bringing together the right mix of voices and allowing space for honest conversation makes a real difference when addressing complex issues like inclusion and accessibility.

This is the part of the work I value most. Change moves forward when people are willing to engage, communicate clearly, and work across boundaries. Being present in these conversations, connecting perspectives, and keeping the focus on what matters is central to how I approach inclusive education and partnership building.

Thank you to NUST Business School, Dr Seemab Farooqi, our partners in Pakistan and the UK, and the British Council for supporting this ongoing collaboration. I look forward to what we continue to build together.
