Our first UDSB Buddy System Coffee Meetup was such an enjoyable and memorable experience, getting to know our brilliant buddies, discovering what we share in common, and how wonderfully different we all are.
Who knew we had more puppy lovers than cat people across our groups?
Congratulations to our amazing quiz winners, and thank you to everyone who brought such great energy to the games and conversations.
It was a great afternoon filled with warm chats, laughter, and amazing company. Most of all, it was about building connections, supporting one another, and creating a sense of belonging within our community.
Launching our first meetup
Our first Buddy System Coffee Meetup was a collaboration between two UDSB WeChat groups, UDSB Buddy System 学伴同行 and 邓迪大学商学院中国学生交流群.
The meetup was a lovely chance to relax, chat, and connect with friends from both groups in a warm, welcoming setting, with fun quizzes, mini games, digital certificates, and our first buddy pairings. The Buddy System is mainly for our Chinese students but also welcomes international students who would like to make friends with Chinese buddies.
It was fun designing the poster. Coffee can be our buddy and helps us find new buddies.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this joint meetup happen, especially Dr Jing Ma, organiser of 邓迪大学商学院中国学生交流群, and Dr Darren Jubb, whom I have worked with on this initiative since before its launch, as well as our amazing students.
